What a Faithful God - Robert Critchley
Lord, I come before Your throne of grace
I find rest in Your presence,
And fullness of Joy
In worship and wonder,
I behold Your face
Singing what a faithful God have I
What a faithful God have I
What a faithful God
What a faithful God have I
Faithful in every way
Lord of mercy, You have heard my cry
Through the strom You·re the beacon
My song in the night
In the shelter of Your wings
Hear my heart's reply,
Singing what a faithful God have I
Lord, all soverign
Granting peace from heaven
Let me comfort those who suffer
With the comfort You have given
I will tell of Your great love
For as long as I live
Singing what a faithful God have I

Hebrews 10:35-37
'Do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord, no matter what happens. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay.' Hebrews 10:35-37
I just love it when I get a text from the Lord to encourage me:)

Blessed
Thank you to all my wonderful God-given friends. I pray that He will continue to bless you many folds even as you've blessed others.
For Melissa, her sparkle, smile and warmth always brightens my day. I'm still amazed at how similar we are; yet I know it is no coincidence how He placed you in my life. Thank you for your generosity and for just being the dear Meli I can call anytime.
For Janice, I'm extremely grateful for your prayer when I needed them most. It really lifted my spirit and encouraged me. For lunch last Sunday and for the many meals in the past!!! You are such a generous giver, a friend so true and precious.
For Cheng Lu and her encouraging texts when I'm feeling down. Bubbly and always joyful, she has such a gentle sweet spirit. I'm still so excited about what she told us today:)
And for all my coursemates and other friends; especially for their e-mails and caring thoughts throughout the past 2 weeks. I've appreciated every single lunch and dinner that you've treated me. Thank you very much.

From deep within
Despite the tears I've shed for the past 2 weeks, I consider and choose to thank my God for all that I've been through. Challenge shapes character and moulds me to what God has destined me to be - an overcomer. I may be weak but in Him I'm made strong. I may go through difficult times but in Him, there's always victory. I know whom I belong to and noboby can ever rob me away. Never; for He is mine and I am His. He is my God and will always be, forever. I yearn for His love and nothing more cause there's nothing more fulfilling than seeking His face. Oh the joy, indescribable and simply unmeasurable.
I've been very encouraged by the word Tony Ling brought today. That I'm part of a great work and nothing I've done for Him has ever been less than that. Often I feel disappointed with myself especially for not being able to share Him openly enough to so many of my friends. With ample opportunities, I've often felt I've let Him down.
But Father today, I want to change. Grant me the boldness and give me the words to speak. I pray for Maya, Daine, Pei Yee, Lyn Yii and Jo- these wonderful girls who are all in need of You. Reveal Yourself to them that they may know Your great love and abundant blessings.

Before the throne of God above
Before the throne of God above,
I have a strong, a perfect plea,
A great High Priest whose name is Love,
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in heaven He stands,
No tongue can bid me thence depart,
No tongue can bid me thence depart.
When Satan tempts me to despair,
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there,
Who made an end of all my sin.
Because the sinless Savior died,
My sinful soul is counted free.
For God the Just is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me,
To look on Him and pardon me.
Behold Him there the Risen Lamb,
My perfect spotless righteousness,
The great unchangeable I Am,
The King of glory and of grace,
One with Himself I cannot die.
My soul is purchased by His blood,
My life is hid with Christ on high,
With Christ my Savior and my God,
With Christ my Savior and my God.
One with Himself I cannot die.
My soul is purchased by His blood,
My life is hid with Christ on high
With Christ my Savior and my God,
With Christ my Savior and my God.

Change, you CAN believe in
I've been wanting to blog about this for a while but was never able to pen it down due to the busyness of the last few weeks.
Change. Indeed, this word has sprung up so many times in the last couple of months. The phrase 'change you can believe in' has almost become a cliche as we finally witness the inauguration of the first African American President of the United States of America. This man, full of charisma and eloquence attracted and inspired billions of people to believe in him. He instilled a sense of hope, he spoke of a new America and led many to dream beyond and to believe in their own ability for change.
As I reflect on this, I begin to question the validity of his statements. Are we truly capable of change? For what can we change even with sheer determination? Can Barack Obama rock the world?
For me, I believe that none of us are capable of even small changes. For who are we, but mere mortal men. Barack is just like you and me, still imperfect with weaknesses. Whilst he may be able to revive the economic downturn globally with his $825 billion stimulus, like you and me, he is still in need of a greater Saviour who will once and for all change the world. Our hope is not dependant upon the world's or even our own, but in God's who is the ultimate creator.
'But let me tell you a wonderful secret God has revealed to us. Not all of us will die, but we will all be transformed. It will happen in a moment, in the blinking of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, the Christians who have died will be raised with transformed bodies. And then we who are living will be transformed so that we will never die. '
1st Corinthians 15:51-52
In his letter to the Philippians, again Paul wrote:
'He will take these weak mortal bodies of ours and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same mighty power that he will use to conquer everything, everywhere.'
Philippians 3:21
'And I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again.
Philippians 1: 6
What a glorious hope and what great promises await us when we put our trust in Him. And what's more exciting, He has given us The Holy Spirit to guide us along the way!
Lord God, you are so gracious to us. Thank you that we can trust in you and look forward to real change. Not in the worlds's or our owns but in YOUR's alone:)

Go forth
From Streams in the Desert and Springs in the Valley
“Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord”
(I Kings 19:11)
Step out on the waves
That could crush you!
Step out in the storm
That would hush you!
And you will find,
As you touch the crest
You feared so much,
And walk on its breast,
There was One walking there,
The whole night through,
Walking, watching,
Waiting – For you!

Psalm 127
Reminded by Psalm 127:1-2 today.
'Unless the Lord builds the house,
the work of the builders is useless.
Unless the Lord protects a city,
guarding it with sentries will do no good.
It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night,
anxiously working for food to eat;
for God gives rest to his loved ones.'
'For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need.' Phillipians 4:13
Thank you Abba Father for helping me in my exams thus far. Indeed, I'm such an amazingly blessed child of yours. I can't help but love you more and more each day.
